University Logo Standards and Graphic Identity Guidelines
I. PURPOSE: Identifying the University

The University of Utah is establishing a unified image for the institution and its associated entities. By December 31, 2007, all University related communications are strongly encouraged to fully reflect the University identity described in these guidelines.
The objective of this effort is to present a reliable and coherent identity that enhances the prestige and value of the University among key audiences and stakeholders. A consistent identity will enhance our ability to lead and innovate. It will set the University apart from other higher education institutions and increase our ability to attract and retain exceptional students, faculty, and staff. Identity standards are designed to help departments and programs by strengthening the University brand.
This document may be downloaded and used by anyone responsible for creating or updating any University-related communications as long as guidelines are followed as outlined. Use these guidelines whenever developing materials that represent the University to important audiences.
These guidelines establish a basic foundation for design execution and strategy. At the same time the University acknowledges these guidelines cannot address every design situation that may arise. In such cases, internal experts are available to assist you. Please see the Answers/Information/Guidelines section for additional information and resources.
